Appearance : fine white to pate yellow-while powder.

Odor : odorless.

Solubility : insoluble in water.

Specific gravity : 6.86

Storage:- keep in a tightly closed container stored in a cool , dry ventilated area.

Incompatibility: - strong acids and strong oxidizers light , heat incompatibles.

Medical and Pharmaceutical Uses :-

1)   It is high radio paqul.

2)   It is used as a filer in radio pique catheters which can be seen by X-ray.

3)  It is used as an antacid, mild as stringent.

4)  Antiseptic ointment , lotion preparation.

5)  Anti-bacterial properties.
