Definition of physiology


Physiology studies the normal mechanical, physical, and biochemical processes of animals and plants.

Physiology from Ancient Greek language . Physis_ meaning "nature, origin" and –logia_ meaning "study of" is the scientific study of function in living systems. This includes how organisms, organs, organ systems, cells, and bio-molecules carry out the chemical or physical functions that exist in a living system.
